Kleppestø secondary school is the largest school in the municipality with around 630 pupils. In addition, the school has an introductory class for foreign language students.

The school is working on a new curriculum and assessment for learning. The staff work in teams, and the development of the professional learning community in the college is important to the school. In addition, the work with a safe and good learning environment will characterize our everyday life. The municipality's common school rules apply to all pupils in Askøy municipality. Furthermore, the municipality has rules for the use of ICT equipment, and a regulation for the follow-up of absences. Kleppestø secondary school also has statutes for being elected to the school's student council, as a Young motivator in MOT. Separate regulations apply in Askøyhallen. In order to hold various positions at the school, good behavior must be the basis.

  • Statutes for the MOT program, local statutes for selection and election to student council.

RULES OF THE ORDER:

  • Students' mobile phones must be handed in by the first lesson. They are kept in the school's administrative wing, and distributed at the end of the school day. If a student is to leave school earlier than the timetable shows, the student will be able to collect the mobile phone from the school's reception. The mobile can be used during lessons if the teacher allows teacher-controlled use. Collection and distribution can be adjusted if the timetable or an event at the school is such that it would be unreasonable to follow the ordinary regulations. Parents will be contacted if a student does not follow the regulations for mobile phones at school. Exceptions to the mobile phone rules may be granted if there are documented good reasons for this.
  • You follow the laws and regulations that apply to the use of electronic aids and the internet, and you have familiarized yourself with, understand and follow the guidelines for privacy and ethical guidelines for good internet sense.

  • You clean up after yourself. In addition, there must be order pupils for the classroom and the school grounds. The boss must be sorted at source and the chairs must be hung up by the last group to use the room for the day.

  • The school is notified of all absences as early as possible. See the municipality's common absence regulations and the municipality's rules of order, chapter 7.

  • Bicycles, electric scooters and mopeds must be stored in the bicycle garage. Skateboards can be used in designated areas, if you use protective equipment.

RULES OF CONDUCT:

  • At the start of the day and when changing teachers, you must stand at the desk and greet the teacher.

  • If you have something to say or need to leave your seat, raise your hand and ask for permission.

  • You must stay within the school grounds. You must have permission from an adult at the school to leave the school during school hours.

  • You must always follow instructions from staff at the school.

UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR:

  • endanger yourself or others

  • throwing objects, snowballs etc
  • splash, drain and throw water

  • dropping objects out of windows or over railings to lower floors

  • run and be loud and violent indoors

  • take out mobile phones, tablets and other communicating electronic devices in teaching without the teacher having given permission for use

  • cycling etc. on the school premises

  • use the lift without permission from a school employee

  • bring glass bottles to school

  • bring snop, soft drinks and energy drinks to school without agreement with the teacher and for special occasions. On special occasions, home notice is given in advance.
