Kultursalen Kipo is Askøy's new main hall and is intended for larger concerts, performances, courses and conferences.

A concert hall with a grand piano on the stage and chairs in a row in the amphitheater

KIPO is a modern cultural hall with 339 seats. It is equipped with professional sound and lighting equipment and the size of the stage is 12x8 metres.

KIPO will suit many different needs, and the hall uses an active acoustic system where reverberation of varying length is created electronically. KIPO is universally designed with teleloop and space for wheelchair users both on the stage level and in the amphitheater.

Adjacent premises

In connection with the cultural hall, we have four artists' wardrobes with shower facilities, and a green room with a mini kitchen.

If additional heating rooms are needed, we also have 4 classrooms available in collaboration with Askøy upper secondary school. See more under Technical data about hall, light, AV and sound.

Feel free to get in touch for a chat about the possibilities in the KIPO culture hall.

Access to Kipo cultural hall

KIPO cultural hall is currently in a construction area due to the construction of a new sports and swimming hall and new access roads and bus stop.

Unfortunately, it is therefore a bit challenging to get to and from during the construction period. Below you will find several options for accessing the hall.

Public transport

It is shuttles that provide public transport (bus).

The nearest stop is Kleppestø junior high school.

Sharebus.no

If many people are going the same way, it can be worthwhile to share a bus. With www.sharebus.no TIDE has an offer that both the organizer and the public can use.

Delivery and collection

Outside the gate to Askøy upper secondary school, there is a drop-off/boarding area, which makes delivery and collection easy.

Carpooling

To the extent that a car is to be driven to the culture hall, we encourage everyone to drive together in the same car. It eases the pressure on limited parking spaces and saves the environment at the same time.

Parking facilities within 1000 metres

  • Kleppestø quay 1000 meters (17 minute walk)
  • Kleppestø center (parking north) 500 meters (9 minute walk)
  • Health center 250 metres. Here there is a maximum of 2 hours parking before you have to leave the area.
  • Søre Myrane 13 (outside working hours) 100 metres
